The Meredith Heritage Tree Deck provides a space where people can gather, picnic, and enjoy generous shade beneath two towering escarpment live oak trees estimated to be over 200 years old. This 3,600 sf oval shaped deck negotiates the root zone of these heritage-size live oak trees that were moved to the site. One challenge of this install was the special care required during construction not to disturb the root zone of these two specimen trees. Thermory Ash 5/4" x 6" was the decking material.
